About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist with 30 years of experience in the field. I completed my Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 1984 in New York City. After working as a therapist in New York, I moved to Colorado and began working in both agency and private practice settings. Some of my experiences include: individual, couples and family therapy with children, adolescents, and parents. Specifically, I have practiced infant -parent attachment therapy, mental health in preschool settings and in the home, short- term, solution -focused and longer-term psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults with phase of life or adjustment reactions, mood disorders, trauma, and major mental illness. I have facilitated DBT groups, including mindfulness practice, and have used this in my individual therapy practice. I have continued to develop professionally through trainings, supervision, and education including trauma informed therapy, EMDR level 1, attachment-focused family therapy and cognitive- behavior therapy. I have supervised masters -level students and other staff.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I provide psychotherapy, counseling, couples and family therapy, consultation. I also provide clinical supervision for those indivduals who are working towards licensure.
